Crossfire ownership is now easier than ever since second hand car values dropped over the last couple of years. A well looked after used Crossfire can now be found for the price of a small family car of similar age. The standard Crossfire is not an “out and out” sports car – it has been designed to be a great performer, with great handling, comfort, and of course those stunning looks. Long journeys are a pleasure, with luxurious leather heated seats, climate control and a great view over that straked bonnet. The driving position is helped with adjustable steering column and electric seats. Available as a coupe or convertible with electric roof, the car turns heads where ever it goes.

With the time proven Mercedes 3.2 V6 engine helping things along, the car will cruise at any speed. The 215 hp on tap gives a super driving experience with 0 – 60 of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. Fuel consumption for the manual or auto should be around 27mpg but will depend on driving style.

For those wanting a little more, there is the rarer Crossfire SRT6. This is the up rated version of the car has the AMG engine fitted. Beneath that straked hood lies an intercooled, helical twin-rotor supercharged 3.2-liter V-6, rated at 330 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission choice is the Triptronic five-speed automatic. Performance is shattering with sub-five-second 0-to-60 runs.
