How your car could be giving away clues about your personality

Your car really does give clues about your personality, according to research by scientists,

writes Richard Gray, Science Correspondent of the Telegraph. We all like to anthropomorphise things, and cars are just as capable of having our emotions being projected onto them.

Top 10 $10,000 Cars

Motor Trend has published a list of cars that are less than ten years old, and cost less than $10,000 dollars. The Crossfire is there, and is amongst good company - the 2002-2003 Jaguar XKR, 2002-2004 Audi TT and the 2002 Chevrolet Camaro. The styling pretty much does it for the Crossfire:

Exclusivity plays a part in our selection of the Chrysler Crossfire, which was based on a Mercedes-Benz SLK but had styling like nothing we’d ever seen.

It certainly seems that the Crossfire is fast becoming a modern classic - something borne up by the new owners who are showing interest on this site.

The Crossfire Story

A great piece on the Crossfire from Motorcities.

What does the future hold for the Crossfire - is it a valuable collector’s car or just another forgotten model? Well one thing is certain: the Crossfire has a dedicated and faithful following; if the passion of the current owner’s is any indicator, bet on the former. It isn’t likely the doors of history will close on this rare, attractive and fun car. Although, the Crossfire coupé and roadster siblings may come from a broken home, these orphans will be sure to claim their rightful place in automotive history.

There is a photo of a line up of UK Crossfires take at MercedesWorld on the Brooklands site last year.

How are motorists saving fuel?

The cost of filling our Crossfires is ever increasing, and I suspect that some of us are cutting down on the driving where possible. The question “Is that journey necessary?” certainly seems to be in the back of my mind these days. I’m saving the car for longer journeys, using public transort and my own leg power for local travel.

An article on the BBC News web site explores how people are altering their driving habits to help save fuel.

The article contains some common sense advice, but well worth a read.
