FOR CROSSFIRE DRIVERS IN THE UK

Shield

We’ve taken our cars to various places around the country. Here is a list of meets and events that we have been to in the past.

The UK Crossfires Club met at Chatsworth House on the 10th April assembling at Rookery Wood in the grounds of the House in a private parking area.

This was the first regional meeting of the club at which 8 cars made the trip including Mark Jaworski all the way from Bath! The exhibition of Campbell world speed cars and boats was superb with all exhibits in pristine condition. Karl Edmondson commented that it is one of the best museums he has ever visited. With superb weather and a discounted entrance fee everyone had a great day meeting new and old friends alike. Well done to Karl for organising the day.

We had a great day out at the Ripon  Car Show which was a great venue at the old Ripon Racecourse. We arrived at Ripon for 9.30 and assembled at Morrison’s Supermarket Carpark for a 10.00 start on the short journey to the venue. We had seven Crossfires in our convoy and it looked a great seeing all the cars on the Ripon Bypass.

The show is one of the UK’s premier events for lovers of all things American! Huge Fins ’n’ Chrome cars from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s including Muscle cars from all eras to the very latest models! Corvettes, Mustangs, Cadillacs, Hot Rods, and Custom Cars.

Mick Allsopp’s SRT 6 Roadster swept the boards at the Stars and Stripes American Car Show last weekend. He won 1st place in the show and shine competition, 2nd place best standard car and 2nd place best in show. He wasn't the only winner.

The National Brewery Centre is a fantastic place to visit. We arrived for 10.00am and the friendly staff were on hand to direct us through to the central courtyard were our cars were ideally placed to make an impact on hand to direct us through to the central courtyard were our cars were ideally placed to make an impact on the other visitors to the museum.
