We’ve taken our cars to various places around the country. Here is a list of meets and events that we have been to in the past.
It has been a few years since we last visited this museum so the 14 cars that made the visit, many for the first time, had a real treat instore.
Whilst the weather was not brilliant all the members had a great time visiting, not only the museum, but also the house.
Well here we are for the last meet of the season at the magnificent Brooklands museum.
With all makes of cars both vintage and modern, Concorde simulator, buses and, of course, our iconic cars.
On the day 19 cars attended, reduced by one due to an unfortunate accident to a member’s car the day before.
Our second visit to this wonderful setting in the grounds of the Castle.
UK weather did it’s best to put a dampener on the day but with 12 Crossfires attending and a huge number of MX5s the cars won. In fact, towards the end of the day the sun came out!
Another visit to this local event supporting local charities set in the lovely village of Chearsley on the cricket ground.
Although the weather was not good the event was very well supported with a large collection of cars.
The flypast of a Lancaster bomber had to be cancelled due to the low cloud base which was a shame.
But with 7 Crossfires in attendance, and meeting up with old friends, the day was a success.
Our visit to Eden Camp was the most well supported event we have held in the North of England with 9 cars making the trip.
Unfortunately, one member had an issue with her car but still managed to make the event later in the afternoon.
This museum is probably the best collection of WWII exhibits and we all failed to see all that was there. With many of the staff dressed in uniforms of the day and superb weather the day was truly memorable.
Four new members attended their first event and seemed very pleased with the welcome and support the club offers.
This museum is certainly one to re-visit in the future.
