Well what a day!

Event Report Blenheim Palace 29th July 2018

After all the wonderful sunny weather we have enjoyed at the previous meets the heavens opened up and it was wet... very wet.

So plans had to be changed on our parking arrangements as the grass was too wet by the North Gates so after a few discussions we parked in the East Courtyard which is most unusual for permission to be granted to be used for a car meet. It proved a great backdrop for the 14 cars that braved the weather from the original 32 plus 4 that we did not know were coming.

Highlights of the day were a presentation of a kangaroo to Paul Green (don’t ask), Karl Sparrow winning the coveted Ride of the Month Award and Martin Rawling’s tale of woe about his efforts to replace the cup holder but create a handbrake problem!!!

Due to a wedding in the late afternoon we had to vacate the Courtyard at 2.30 but most members decided it was time to go home anyway.

Blenheim Palace however continues to be a firm favourite with the club, so we will be back again next August I am sure. With some sun!!!

A huge thank you from all the committee to the members that came and supported the club in spite of the weather.
