UK Crossfire Meets 2012

Our impressive Crossfire displays at key public events like Brooklands and Castle Coombe have been a great success. This has been helped enormously by the banners which now appear everywhere we go! These have given us our identity and bring us together as an organised group. Feedback from those attending the meets has shown a lot of enthusiasm towards taking part in more events of this type; especially those were we can attend as “club” parking together displaying the cars. For 2012 we have taken this idea forward with some exciting new destinations which will hopefully provide the right ingredients that go to make up a great Crossfire meet.

We have been trying hard to develop the meets, choosing the right geographic locations convenient for as many folks as possible, and to find venues which will provide the variety needed to keep interest. But of course this is always going to be a compromise, and some travelling is always going to be needed in order to attend all the meets. But on the up-side this has given many of us the excuse to make a weekend of it, staying over in the area and getting together for a nice meal on the Saturday evening!

This year’s programme of meets is detailed. The details will be added to the events list in the website under Events. The recipe used this year includes one or two familiar favourites, a couple of new surprises, and a sprinkling of tasty treats as well! I am hopeful that we can get a good turnout in May at the Laon Historic event. Car clubs from many parts of Europe will gather for this major event.

As always, the success of the meets is in the hands of our members old and new, often travelling many to attend, but always helping to make our days out so enjoyable. For this, our heartfelt thanks go out to all!
